Aruba Illuminating Bronzing Powder by Bobbi Brown

Good Morning Lovelies!

I hope you are all having a lovely week and it's a wonderful wednesday for you!

I'm a bit like an impatient child at the moment, staring at my letterbox in the hope that some of my beauty deliveries will arrive. Oh dear!

Anyway today I want to fill your Wednesday with Aruba! Not the actual Aruba I'm afraid but that would be quite lovely! I may just go on a mind vacation!

Mind you this Aruba is very exciting. It's an Illuminating Bronzing Powder from Bobbi Brown, and as you can see it's quite well loved!

I've had this quite a while, and whilst I do own other bronzing powders, I find this landing back in my hand like magic! The product itself lasts a long long time and it delivers every time. Before I purchased Aruba I used to buy Bali Brown from the range but I found that this was a bit too dark for my complexion and left me with more of a red/pink finish. I'm more of a golden girl, so Aruba is perfect. I find it's amazing for pale skin as it's a bronzing powder which is described as a light golden bronze. It's so gorgeous as it leaves you with a beautiful glow, lightens your complexion and due to it being so subtle it leaves a flawless finish. Quite the illuminator!

I do use other bronzing products too, but as I mentioned it's one of those products which you don't use for a while and then when you find it, you instantly fall in love again!

Have you used Aruba? or any other Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzing Powders?

Formula X Nail Polish in Astronomical

Morning Lovelies!

Today I thought I'd show you what I'm currently wearing on my nails. It's this little nude beauty from Formula X for Sephora. As the name kind of suggests it's from Sephora. I was drawn to this colour a few months ago, because I thought it looked so cute. Usually with nude nail polishes I find you have to be pretty careful as some can turn pretty sheer once applied.

This is in the shade Astronomical which comes under the neutrals. It's described as a honeycomb nude by Sephora and that's exactly how it comes out on the nail too.

From literally so many colours to choose from made by Formula X, there's one for everyone!

The formula of this polish is amazing! I highly recommend it, it feels almost gel like and dries so smooth and like you've applied a top coat, when in fact you haven't.

The polish lasts a long time chip free on the nails too. This is the result with just two coats.

I think this may be my favourite nude polish yet. The colour feels fresh, light and classy.

I am so impressed by this formula that I'm definitely lusting over evey other nail polish made by Formula X. Considering there are so many, that may take a long long time!!!!

Have you tried any Formula X nail polishes?

Caudalie Grape Water

Happy Saturday Lovelies!

Now I know that here in the UK, we're experiencing a heatwave. As a total sun worshipper and lover of hot sunny weather, this is perfect news for me. But I know that as the temperature increases, we can begin to feel quite sluggish and like we're melting.

One little product which I couldn't be without is my Caudalie Grape Water. It's such a handy product to have when the heat gets too much!

I just love to spritz, there's nothing quite so refreshing as spritzing away. I know you could spritz with just normal water, but this feels so soft, soothing and calming on your skin.
So if you're melting and struggling with the heat, try giving Caudalie grape water a go, because it really does hydrate your skin, and as it is naturally plant based water it doesn't sting at all. It definitely gets a big thumbs up!

It's perfect for sensitive skin, and I find it extremely useful when you want to use products which require a damp face before you apply them. A few spritzes does the trick without leaving a waterfall or puddle of water all down yourself!

How do you keep cool?

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Hello Lovelies,

I thought I'd treat you to a lovely little scent. Now I know that when summer comes, I usually mix up my fragrances. There's nothing better than feeling fruity and fresh when the sun's shining!

With a new season comes a new scent! I'm so indecisive when it comes to perfumes, apart from my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle I can never make my mind up! So mini handbag friendly perfumes are definitely my best friends! Not only are they great for transporting and using on the go, but they're great for testing out some new scents without blowing a fortune on big sized bottles.
Super great for the indecisive like myself!

This Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Rollerball is one of my favourite minis. It's super dinky, cute and handy.

Once you roll a little bit of this scent, it's like a burst of a beautiful floral fragrance. It's not an overpowering floral scent though, it's sweet and sugary along the way. Once applied the perfume is incredibly long lasting, a little goes along way, which is definitely amazing news for owning a little mini perfume bottle.

I absolutely love the packaging itself, it oozes elegance and sophistication.
This mini is definitely on my ever growing shopping list! However I know that the large version of Flowerbomb will be making an appearance on my dressing table very soon!

Have you ever tried this scent or have a favourite summer perfume?

My Summer Hearts!

Good Day Beauties!

I thought I'd share with you some of my hearts and little loves of the past few weeks.

Top Left: Two mini Clinique chubby sticks. As a chubby stick lover, when I saw Glamour magazine was offering a travel sized chubby stick free in either Super Strawberry or Woppin Watermelon I knew I had to make a purchase. A great magazine and a lip product = heaven. In fact so heavenly that I couldn't miss the opportunity to own both! Oops

Top Right: I absolutely loved this MAC lipstick when I saw it! A lovely bright pink lipstick perfect for summer and with the name of Lickable it was hard to resist.

Bottom Left: keeping myself smelling floral and fresh this summer with the super handy and cute Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Rollerball. It smells absolutely divine. Mmm

Bottom Right: The White Company is one of those shops which I enter and I instantly want to own everything. Definitely a white white heaven. I've recently moved home so trying to find new things for my rooms is super exciting, I'll share what's inside in a later post but for now I'll let you guess the colour of the things inside!

Hope you've enjoyed my hearts!

What have you been loving lately?

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee

Good Morning Lovelies!

I hope you're having a good week so far! I've had a bit of an eventful week and ended up breaking a finger on my writing hand but luckily I can still type! And obviously lipsticks are my medicine!

So today is a Creme Brulee day! It's a Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter lipstick. I love the formula of these lipsticks as they are so so buttery and moisturising! Creme Brulee is more of a beige coloured nude. So if you find some nude lipsticks a bit too pink, this is perfect. As it applies, the buttery texture means the colour applies lightly and in a sheer way, so you don't have to worry about looking like you've kissed your concealer! It gives a light colour and is so natural, so if you've never tried a nude lipstick before this would be a great starter. When on the lips, it doesn't have the longest staying power, probably because it is more of a moisturising lipstick, but overall it's an easy wearing and smooth nude lipstick.

Have you tried this shade or any of the other Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters?

MAC Lickable lipstick

Morning lovelies!

Now for me there is nothing more exciting than cracking open a new lipstick! And when it's summer and sunny outside, my lipstick excitement just explodes through the roof. With many shades becoming more acceptable to wear in the warmer months, I get carried away swatching all the bright pinks, purples and corals.

MAC Lickable lipstick is no exception to my bright lipstick obsession. Lickable is a bright pink but not an 'in your face' bright pink. This is probably because the blue/purple undertones calm it down, so it offers a beautiful fuchsia colour pink when applied onto your lips.

Anything fuchsia coloured I absolutely love, probably because it reminds me of when I was a child and I was obsessed with popping real fuchsia buds! Did anyone else do this or was I the only fuchsia popper?

Anyway if you're not drawn to lickable because of the colour, I'm sure you'll be drawn to its name! Quirky names are definitely part of the attraction!
Lickable is part of the Cremesheen range. Cremesheens literally save my lips! Always offering great colour and moisture at the same time!

Lickable is no exception to this, the burst of pink lasts a long time on your lips and feels so lovely and smooth. This colour is perfect when you have an understated makeup look but want to add that splash of colour. As I'm paler and have blonde hair, some bright lipsticks can really drain your complexion but Lickable does the opposite. It wakes up my natural makeup look and has me ready for whatever the summery day entails.

Have you tried Lickable? or do you have a perfect summer lipstick?

Topshop lipstick in Nevada

Hello beauties

Today is a nude lip day! Now from previous posts you might have guessed I like my MAC lipsticks a bit too much! But I do like to venture away from them once in a while! So today's lipstick offering is from Topshop. It's a velvet finish lipstick in the shade Nevada!
Now I know a perfect nude lip can be hard to come by, you have to dodge the concealer lip look and then watch out for the drying chapped lips. So how did Nevada measure up?

Well Nevada in the pack looks like a peachy nude, not so much pink. The colour on the lips is pale, and it does come out the colour that it looks. The texture is pretty creamy, but could be slightly drying. It appeared to collect in my little lip cracks, so I had to keep applying more to soften it up. Overall it's okay, I'm not overly in love with it, it does really provide a nude colour if you're after a standard nude but in my opinion the formula lets it down. For myself I would much rather save my pennies for a MAC nude lipstick shade.

Have you tried this Topshop lipstick shade? Or tried any other Topshop lipsticks?
