Hello Lovelies!

Day 11 already! December sure is a speedy month! It's finally holiday time for me, so expect my posts to be more on time!

Recently I've been loving red and black. So I thought I'd share with you a red and black outfit which I love. There's something so festive about red, or it might be my inner desire to match Father Christmas!

Anyways I hope you like it:

Blogmas Day 6: Quirky Gifts

Hello Lovelies!

Almost a week through December! I can't quite believe it!

Today I thought I'd share with you a few quirky gifts which would be great for your loved ones this Christmas!

First is this amazing pouch. I think it speaks the truth for all us Instagram lovers out there. I love the design and love the phrase. So if you know someone who would love a gift like this, hit up Francesca's.

Francesca's Pouch

Sorry but the next gift involves a mug! Maybe there's too much mug overload on my blog lately but if you're a coffee addict like me, I'm sure you'll understand!
This mug is from Target, and reads: "Caffeine is the new black" The mug speaks the truth too!

Lastly if you want to spend a little more on a cute gift, this mini Kate Spade keychain is definitely a winner! It's seriously cute, will stop someone from losing their keys and also comes in a wide choice of colours!

Blogmas Day 5: H&M Beauty

Blogmas Day 5: H&M Beauty Department

Hello Lovelies!

I was very excited when I went into one of my local H&M stores and found a whole new beauty department. It was full of so many makeup and beauty goodies! I spent ages debating which goodies to buy as of course I couldn't leave empty handed!

I just love the sophisticated yet simple packaging they have. It makes the makeup look so classy and what I love even more is the very attractive price!

H&M Beauty Department

On my trip I picked up three things which were two eyeshadows and a lip liner. The eyeshadows were in the shades Ginger Snap and Baci Di Dama. I am so impressed by them as they are really beautiful, very pigmented and glittery. They wear so well and deliver that perfect amount of sparkle, which will be great for any Christmas events.

The lip liner I picked up was in the shade Au Naturel. A really lovely neutral shade which matches all those nude and neutral toned lipsticks you might have. I know that this one is definitely one of the handiest shades to have at the ready in your handbag!

I think I might be in love with their beauty department already, I cannot wait to pick up some more goodies. Do you have any recommendations for me?

Blogmas: Anthropologie finds

Blogmas: Anthropologie finds

Hello Lovelies!

For some reason my post meant for yesterday didn't work, so here it comes!

I've been a bit obsessed with Anthropologie lately, if you saw my post from Day 1 of Blogmas you'll have seen the cutest mugs which I got from there. However it's not only mugs that I've been buying!

Pumpkin Souffle Candle

I know this Pumpkin Souffle candle may be more Fall related than Winter, but it smells way too good not to have a special mention of its own! Pumpkin candles are among my favourite scents and this candle is part of their Boulangerie line. Think pumpkin pastry, maple syrup and ginger flavours rolled into the cutest jar! It really smells so good that you just want to eat it. It gives your room a lovely relaxing sweet scent. As it's got gold writing on the front, I had to pair it with my Copper Lantern String lights. These are just the cutest fairy lights that give off that cosy kind of vibe when illuminated. Perfect for a snuggly night in for the run up to Christmas. My room now definitely feels and smells a lot sweeter!

What are you favourite things to make your room feel all snug?

Blogmas Day 2: Black Boots

Blogmas Day 2: Black Boots

Hello Lovelies!

For the second day of December I thought I would share with you some beautiful new shoes of mine. These are definitely so perfect for the festive season as they can be worn with your favourite LBD or festive dress.

Nine West Black Boots

These black booties are called the Nutcracker Dress Booties and they are from Nine West. These were one of the bargains which I managed to pick up on Black Friday. The booties were such a steal as they were half price and they are still even on offer now!

I always find the shoes from Nine West to be so comfortable and they always last so well. I must admit I was pretty smug with myself for picking up these shoes as they just fit so perfectly and look so great! Bargains are the best!

Have you managed to pick up any great bargains lately?

Blogmas Day 1: Cosy mugs

Blogmas Day 1: Cosy Mugs

Hello Lovelies!

I can't quite believe how quickly this year has gone! The last few months have been pretty crazy and jam packed so unfortunately my blog suffered a little bit! However I thought it was time that changed, so expect lots of new posts as I attempt to do Blogmas again! There's nothing better than lots of Christmas inspired posts to get you in the mood for the big day!

Lately I've been loving mugs a bit too much. For some reason a warm drink tastes better in your favourite mug!

Anthropologie Mug
Both of these mugs are my ultimate favourites and are totally perfect for feeling warm and cosy. Cue fairy lights and Christmas music! These are both from Anthropologie and I can't decide which one I love the most!

Nothing better than a bit of mug motivation. So if you're looking for a mug related gift for a loved one this festive season, these mugs sure are a great gift!

Have you got a favourite mug or any recommendations from Anthropologie?

Happy December!

Black and White

Happy Sunday Lovelies!

It's definitely been a while since my last post! I can't quite believe how quickly October is zooming by! Life has been extremely busy and jam packed lately but I'm making sure that my posts won't suffer any more!

Lately I've been obsessed with everything black and white. And of course we all know which amazing makeup shop has a black and white logo!!!! SEPHORA.

So the obsession with black and white is totally justified! One of my favourite recent black and white purchases has been these gorgeous shoes.

Strappy Heeled Sandals
They look so striking on and really do stand out. These little chic shoes are from Matalan and the most exciting thing (apart from them being so amazing and comfortable) is definitely their price. For only £15 they scream bargain! They're so perfect for fall and winter and well just whenever you need a pair of black and white heels! (Which is always!)

Things have been a little shoe crazy, because there's also another pair of perfect shoes which have stolen my heart.

These shoes are from Target and I just couldn't resist them! They are part of the Adam Lippes for Target collection, where they also have lots more black and white pieces just incase you're a bit addicted like me! These shoes really do bring an outfit to life!

Adam Lippes for Target Pointed Ballet Flat - Black & White Plaid

I've also been sporting black nail polish on both my fingers and toes. I'll share that look with you for another post, all along with some fabulous accessories!

Hope you're having a great October so far and let me know what you're loving this month?

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, life has been pretty hectic but rest assured there will be plenty of posts from now on!

Today's post is an outfit one! I'm so obsessed with this outfit as it's super comfy and chic at the same time. Plus this clutch from Banana Republic might just be the best invention ever! The design is just so eye catching plus it's khaki/olive! And we all know just how much I love khaki!

Fall Makeup and Fragrance

Fall Makeup and Fragrance

Hello Lovelies!

Can you really believe that it's September already? It'll be Christmas before we know it!

I thought I'd share with you some new favourites from August that are perfect for fall! August seems so long ago now!!!!

NARS Kabuki Ita Brush

I had been so desperate for this brush, but I suppose I could never justify the large price tag. But then the shopaholic inside me obviously took over and before I could blink I was walking out of Sephora with a beautiful new brush. I am so glad I bought this Kabuki brush. It honestly is amazing and so easy to use, perfect for that sculpted look. For contouring it's so great because it doesn't create a muddy look like some contouring brushes do. It's soft and seems to pick up the right amount of product each time. It really is worth every penny!

NARS Kabuki Ita Brush

2. Nails Inc Hyde Park Court Gel Effect Nail Polish

If you've read this previous post of mine, you'll know how much I'm loving khaki at the moment! This is still ongoing and as it's time for fall, I decided to add a lovely khaki colour to my fall nail polish collection. This is the Nails Inc Hyde Park Court Gel effect nail polish.
A lovely khaki colour which is perfect for AW15. It looks like it'll be khaki overload for me this fall!

3. Chanel CHANCE EAU VIVE

I've always been a lover of the Chanel CHANCE perfumes, so when I was shopping in Duty Free in London I decided to treat myself. They had a weird bowling game competition where you could win something from Chanel if you managed to get the right combination. Unfortunately I didn't win, but I was already going to buy this perfume anyway (So that's basically a win anyway!!!) This is the Chanel CHANCE EAU VIVE perfume, which is the new baby in the CHANCE family. It's pink and has floral, jasmine, orange and grapefruit notes. It is probably more floral and woody than I'm used to but I absolutely love it. Chanel perfumes are always so long lasting on your skin, which is so perfect when you're obsessed with the scent.

NARS Audacious Mascara

NARS Audacious Mascara

Hello Lovelies!

So I got extremely excited when I saw that NARS had a new mascara out! NARS is a brand which I find to be consistent in every makeup product I have. I'm always impressed by their products so couldn't wait to try the new NARS Audacious Mascara. It's meant to separate your lashes, lengthen them and add that volume by amplifying them. All in all, a mascara which can do everything.
It's meant to grip to your lashes from root to finish in order to achieve this.

NARS Audacious Mascara

Overall I love this mascara already. My lashes are pretty long and I always have trouble trying to find mascaras which don't clump or go really hard on my lashes. This one doesn't do that, the formula isn't drying on your lashes at all. I find that this audacious mascara really is great at fanning the lashes out. This is the look which I absolutely love from a mascara. As for volume, I find it does boost them slightly but I wouldn't say the amplifying aspect is as great as the lengthening part from this particular mascara.

NARS Audacious Mascara

However, I think it makes your lashes look pretty natural and the colour suits my lashes perfectly as some mascaras can look a bit too black.

It doesn't smudge and it can be removed well by a good eye makeup remover.

If you get a chance to try this mascara, I certainly recommend it. NARS hasn't let me down again!

What's your favourite mascara at the moment?

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup

Hello Lovelies!

Life has been pretty manic and full of travelling lately. But of course, it's also been full of shopping too! When I arrived back in London the other day, a quick trip back to the city wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Charlotte Tilbury counter in Selfridges! It also wouldn't be complete without a few purchases to add to my collection!

So here are the three lovely things which I picked up! I can do a more in depth review at a later time!

1. Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect

The lipstick on the left! This is a beautiful pink nude and it's just so creamy. The perfect shade for every day!

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup

2. Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Hepburn Honey

I'm starting to put my coral and bright lipsticks away so I opted for this beautiful lipstick shade. It's a neutral beige lipstick with honey tones and is great for those times when you want a bit more of a darker subtle lip. I can't wait to wear this shade in winter!

3. Cheek to Chic Sex on Fire blush

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup

I'm obsessed with these blushes, so had to add another one to my makeup bag! They're so perfect due to the swish and pop concept. I absolutely love this shade and feel that it's perfect for my skin tone in the cooler months to come.

Pretty Nails

Pretty Nails

Hello Lovelies!

I thought I'd share with you some pretty nails! I'm absolutely obsessed with this nail polish shade. It's a gorgeous white nail polish and it definitely screams summer. If you're wanting to prolong summer that bit extra before fall sets in, this is a great way to hold onto that summery feeling!

Pretty Nails

These pretty nails have been painted with the Opi Nail Lacquer in Funny Bunny. Even if you're not a lover of white nails, surely you'll just love the name of this polish! I always rate Opi Nail Lacquers pretty high. This shade in particular is so long lasting and applies incredibly easily. It has a lovely white/pink kind of sheen and with only two coats covers completely. I find that this is a real bonus for a white nail polish because quite often they can apply quite sheer. This shade in general compliments a tan so well and really does make your fingers look sophisticated and that bit longer.

Pretty Nails

All in all this shade will be making multiple appearances summer after summer and who knows it may even creep up in winter!

Natural Makeup

Natural Makeup

Hello Lovelies

Today I thought I'd share with you a natural makeup look. Sometimes less is more and so this kind of makeup look is perfect to wear any day of the week.

Foundation: Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. This is probably my most favourite foundation ever! It feels so light, gives the most amazing coverage, literally glows and stays put forever. Which is an amazing bonus when you live in super hot and humid Florida!

Concealer: Maybelline Cover Stick and the Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer for under the eyes

Eyes: I used the Naked Smoky Palette, but obviously didn't smoke it up! I used the natural shades, which included the shade Combust in the crease, and I applied Thirteen and High all over the eyes.

Eye liner: I just used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown. Literally such an easy liner to use.

Bronzer: Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light

Blush: A really natural peachy nude blush which is the Becca Mineral blush in the shade Wild Honey. Definitely one of the most natural blushes I own!

Highlighter: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. The obsession with this highlighter is real! It's incredible!

Mascara: One coat of the Maybelline Lash Sensational and one coat of the Tom Ford Extreme Mascara in Raven

Lipstick: Charlotte Tilbury Sexy Sienna. A super natural matte shade perfect for day and night!

This is a super quick and easy look which I love to just wear on an every day basis. It's easy to adapt and I find that the products used work really well together!

Which makeup products do you use for a natural makeup look?

Topshop Dresses

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you've had a great week so far and that your Friday is turning out to be truly fabulous. I am so happy that it's almost time for the weekend because I'm well and truly exhausted this week and can't wait for a little relaxation!

Today I thought I'd share with you some things I've been loving lately. Basically one of my local department stores Nordstrom now stocks Topshop which is very exciting because it means more shopping and it makes me feel a little closer to the UK!

I've been eyeing up lots of their dresses and of course purchasing a few. In fact I loved the fit and style of one dress so much, I just had to buy it in another colour too. Does anyone else do that?

Topshop Dresses

These Topshop dresses are the Topshop Ribbed Tank Dress. I picked them up in both Olive and Red. They're just perfect to wear casually or you can add accessories and fun heels to dress them up. They're super comfy, very flattering and in my opinion look quite chic.

It's perfect for the Florida weather out here and they make the perfect wardrobe staple. Of course I think I will be returning to Topshop as there are a few other pieces in there which I would quite like to magically appear in my closet!

Have you bought anything from Topshop lately?

How to do a facial at home

How to do a facial at home

Hey Lovelies,

Today I thought I'd do a post on how to do a facial at home. I do love having facials at the salon, but they can be quite expensive. When we probably have the products at home already, a facial at home can be absolute bliss. As I've done a lot of travelling lately my face and skin feel like that they're in desperate need of a little TLC.

How to do a facial at home

To start the facial at home, I start by cleaning and cleansing my skin. This ensures that you're removing as much dirt as possible. One cleanser which I've recently started using is the Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil. It is amazing at removing makeup with just a tiny bit of product. I find that if you dampen a cotton wool pad slightly, apply a little bit of this, all of your makeup will just melt away. It's one of the most effective makeup removers that I have ever tried! It leaves your skin feeling clean, clear and soft.

Next up I also like to exfoliate. I have many exfoliators and lotions but one which I want to tell you about is the Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar. I find that is is so quick, easy and effective. You rub this over your face and it lathers whilst it works its exfoliating magic. You can actually feel the exfoliating beads transfer onto your skin and then you just wash this all off and your skin will be so super smooth. It's great value and I really recommend it!

I then love to apply a face mask. Any face mask for your skin type will work wonders but one new face mask which I recently bought was the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. I have to admit I was probably tempted to buy this because of the pretty pink packaging! Origins always make such great masks, so I definitely did have high hopes for this. It really didn't disappoint. It smells somewhat citrus scented to me even though I should have probably been finding floral and rose tones in it! It's probably one of the easiest clay masks to apply, it's so smooth and you can see the exfoliating bits in the mask plus it's a lovely pale pink colour. You leave this on for 10 minutes and then you wash it off with wet fingertips. It really does retexture your skin and creates a lovely flawless base and glow once removed.

How to do a facial at home

After my face is dry, I love to add my favourite toner. This product has lately become my favourite skin care product ever! It has made so much difference to my skin as it really helps for the skin care products you use, such as a moisturiser to be absorbed into your skin. It really evens out your complexion and really is just incredible. If there's one thing you really need, it's the Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic. It's a spray toner and will not cause that irritation that some other toners can. If you get the chance check it out!

Lastly never forget the moisturiser. My skin doesn't feel as dry as it used to, so I've been finding that the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Intense Hydration is just the right thing for me right now. Sometimes I do need an even thicker and more intensive cream, but whilst this one is designed for drier skin types, it feels a lot lighter than other intensive creams. It's also easily absorbed into my skin without leaving that sticky excess moisturiser residue that some moisturisers can.

I do swap my skin care around quite a lot, but there are definitely certain products which will always make an appearance. What products do you love using for an in depth facial and pamper at home?

Strobing: MAC Strobe Liquid

Hello Lovelies!

As I love the dewy makeup look and love to create a look with that healthy glow, I thought I'd share with you MAC Strobe Liquid in Golden Elixir. This is a different product to my favourite MAC Strobe Cream which I can never get enough of! However MAC Strobe Liquid is a much lighter product which has multiple uses. The thing which it doesn't have, is the same moisturising effect as the MAC Strobe Cream.

Strobing

The MAC Strobe Liquid is a non oily liquid which is basically like a really beautiful liquid illuminator. Right now it seems that strobing has become hot! This is just basically like highlighting without the contouring. Obviously there are so many pretty highlighters out there, but what I do love about the MAC strobe liquid is that you know it's going to do the job perfectly when it already has some strobe loving in its name! I love to apply this product on the areas where the sunlight catches your face, as you would with any other highlighter. I love to create the glow look especially on the cheekbone area right above where you apply your blush. With these liquid illuminators I find that less is more, so a tip to gage the right amount is to dab it on to the area you wish with the end of a cotton bud and then blend. If you start off with a little it's much easier to add more, than it is to remove that excess glow!!!

Strobing

I love the MAC Strobe Liquid because you can also apply it before your finished look too! Mixing a little amount of this golden/bronze liquid illuminator to your foundation leaves a beautiful subtle glow and really just lifts your look.

It's also a versatile product which you can use on your body too, glowing legs look especially beautiful in the summer and the MAC Strobe liquid is your new best friend if you add a little bit of it to your body lotion.

It pretty much does what it says on the label and creates such a beautiful all over look! I do fear that this product may not be available now as it was a limited edition one, so I shall be scraping the end of the jar and hoping that MAC bring it back!

Have you tried the MAC Strobe Liquid?

BathandBodyWorks Haul

Hi Lovelies!

Recently I may have had a cheeky little haul in the BathandBodyWorks store. I am slightly obsessed with this store and could spend hours checking out all the new flavours and scents.

BathandBodyWorks

One of my local BathandBodyWorks stores has just reopened and it is now combined with their new store the White Barn which houses all of their incredible candles! I had to restrain my inner candle addict from buying any of these candles! The big candles happened to be on sale for $12 so it took a lot of control. However look at all these candles named and scented after cities! It's like a bucket list in a candle form! I think I may find myself heading back there very soon!

BathandBodyWorks

As for the haul. I was taken in by the new design of the pocket bacs. They just looked super cute and even more handbag friendly. These were on a standard offer of 5 for $6 and I decided to get them in the new fruity scents they have just released.

BathandBodyWorks

These 5 are: Pineapple Sorbet, Strawberry Lemon, Honeydew Cooler, Sparkling Sweet Nectarine and Pink Grapefruit Pop.

Of course I got some new soaps too!
Two were from the new fruity flavours: Strawberry Lemon and Sparkling Sweet Nectarine. These are both sugary delights and the perfect fruity blend for summer!
The other one is a foaming soap in the Boardwalk Vanilla Cone flavour. This flavour is described as a blend of Marshmallow Fluff, Vanilla Bean and Creamy Caramel. Literally perfection! Hand washing has never been so sweet! I think this could be one of my most favourite soaps ever!

BathandBodyWorks

I could literally purchase everything in this shop! Have you bought anything in BathandBodyWorks lately?

How to be happy

How to be happy

Hey Lovelies!

Today I thought I'd do a happy and chatty type of post just so I can share some happiness your way and also share some ways of how to be happy!

How to be happy

It goes without saying that being happy is just the best, however quite often it seems that there will eventually be something which melts that smile away! Whenever this happens, it always appears that the negative or unhappy situation makes you feel unhappier a lot quicker than it took for you to feel in that happy and cheery state. Then once you're there it's a lot harder to pick yourself up and climb that happy ladder again!

It's before this situation occurs where the work is needed. We really have two options, choose to be happy or choose to be unhappy. We can let things get to us, or we can change the way we view them.

Even when an unpleasant situation occurs, I think it's always vital to find a little bit of something good in it. Trying not to dwell on the unpleasant and negative situations can make us feel a lot better as we're not preoccupying ourselves with the unhappy and negative thoughts. Choosing to be happy is a conscious thought and we have the power and ability to choose this each and every day. If you continually choose to think the happy thoughts and find the beauty in every situation. Things will automatically start to seem a lot brighter and happier.

Another important thing is to be grateful. We often take things for granted, not necessarily just the people in our lives but also our surroundings. Cultivating gratitude makes us really open our eyes to how lucky and blessed we are to be here and living life every day. From nature around us to all the things that keep us alive, we really do have so much to be grateful for. Getting upset and stroppy because we don't have the next top material product or something similar seems so irrelevant when we have homes with running water to live in.

Lastly making a happy list is a great idea. Write out aims and things which make you happy and put them on your happy list. Then start completing them right now as they will lead you to your happy life. Live the life you want and live it now. The things you write on your list are there for a reason, keep doing them because they definitely will put a smile on your face!

And if all else fails and you're feeling unhappy, I hope these happy pancakes put a smile on your face.

How to be happy

Have a happy day!

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick: Outlaw

Hi Lovelies!

I've been enjoying the Kat Von D makeup line a little bit too much lately. So of course there's been another addition to my makeup collection. As it's summer I've been opting for a brighter lip, so the Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw has been absolutely perfect to achieve this look. Kat Von D has a whole array of bright shades of these liquid lipsticks and when you visit Sephora they're almost sold out in pretty much every shade.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick
However I was lucky enough to snap up this liquid lipstick shade. Outlaw is described as a brick red, but something about this everlasting liquid lipstick just makes my lips perfect. The colour is unreal, it's a gorgeous vibrant red which matches my skin tone perfectly. It's a wow shade that doesn't look over the top but still packs a punch!

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick

As for the actual wear, these are incredible! As it's a liquid lipstick it applies as a liquid however it dries matte! This is probably the smoothest and most even matte type lipstick I've ever worn and I have a lot of lipsticks! The staying power is so good and you'll be rocking the red lip for hours.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick

I am so impressed by the Everlasting liquid lipsticks that I'm going to be having a fair few more visits to swatch some more shades. I'm also an owner to the bright pink Backstage Bambi shade which I can also do a review on if you'd like!

Have you tried these liquid lipsticks or any of the Kat Von D makeup line?

Yankee Candles: Irish Cream

Yankee Candles: Irish Cream

Hello Lovelies!

Recently I found myself sniffing away at a large selection of candles in the Yankee candle store. It's one of those stores where you just can't resist picking up candle after candle and smelling their lovely scents. It's also that kind of store where you just want to own every single one of those yankee candles (maybe one day!) But for now, I'm quite content with this yankee candle in the flavour Irish Cream!

Yankee Candles: Irish Cream

It's such a different flavour candle. It's buttery, sweet and has the most beautiful vanilla notes. I don't know how Yankee do it, but it most definitely is Irish Cream in a jar. Just like any other Yankee candle, once lit, it really does work its magic. Your whole room is left smelling like a creamy, swirly caramel heaven!

Whilst this candle is sweet, the price I paid for it is even sweeter. Of course yankee candles are worth their price tag but when this big jar totalled only $7! well I actually bought two! I can never resist a steal like this!

If you're ever after a sweet treat in the form of a candle, be sure to hunt down the Irish Cream yankee candle, it sure is a beauty!

Have you tried this candle before?
