Strobing: MAC Strobe Liquid

Hello Lovelies!

As I love the dewy makeup look and love to create a look with that healthy glow, I thought I'd share with you MAC Strobe Liquid in Golden Elixir. This is a different product to my favourite MAC Strobe Cream which I can never get enough of! However MAC Strobe Liquid is a much lighter product which has multiple uses. The thing which it doesn't have, is the same moisturising effect as the MAC Strobe Cream.

Strobing

The MAC Strobe Liquid is a non oily liquid which is basically like a really beautiful liquid illuminator. Right now it seems that strobing has become hot! This is just basically like highlighting without the contouring. Obviously there are so many pretty highlighters out there, but what I do love about the MAC strobe liquid is that you know it's going to do the job perfectly when it already has some strobe loving in its name! I love to apply this product on the areas where the sunlight catches your face, as you would with any other highlighter. I love to create the glow look especially on the cheekbone area right above where you apply your blush. With these liquid illuminators I find that less is more, so a tip to gage the right amount is to dab it on to the area you wish with the end of a cotton bud and then blend. If you start off with a little it's much easier to add more, than it is to remove that excess glow!!!

Strobing

I love the MAC Strobe Liquid because you can also apply it before your finished look too! Mixing a little amount of this golden/bronze liquid illuminator to your foundation leaves a beautiful subtle glow and really just lifts your look.

It's also a versatile product which you can use on your body too, glowing legs look especially beautiful in the summer and the MAC Strobe liquid is your new best friend if you add a little bit of it to your body lotion.

It pretty much does what it says on the label and creates such a beautiful all over look! I do fear that this product may not be available now as it was a limited edition one, so I shall be scraping the end of the jar and hoping that MAC bring it back!

Have you tried the MAC Strobe Liquid?

MAC Pink Lipstick

MAC Pink Lipstick

Happy Weekend Lovelies!

Today I thought I'd share with you 4 Pink MAC lipsticks from my collection which I picked out at random. I always end up wearing the same shades, so I thought I'd mix it up by reaching for a few different shades. Each of these is a MAC Pink lipstick, but obviously they're completely different shades of pink.

MAC Pink Lipstick

1.The first pink lipstick is Pervette. This shade is a glaze lipstick so it applies very subtly and leaves a beautiful glow and sheen to your lips. I have already written a full review on this shade

MAC Pink Lipstick

2. The second MAC Pink lipstick is in the shade Pink Plaid. I'm sure you've all heard of this pretty pink shade, it's a matte formula and is one of the most gorgeous shades of pink. It is quite toned down, with blue/purple undertones and delivers such a beautiful shade once applied. As for the finish, it is a bit drying but nothing that priming your lips can't sort out. It still applies relatively creamy and easily.

3. The third MAC Pink lipstick is Feed the Senses. Now this shade in my eyes is never really talked about, but look how beautiful it is. It's a great lustre choice for everyday, for some more information on this beauty, I have a review on it.

MAC Feed the Senses

4. Last but not least is the shade Please Me. Please Me is a medium shaded pink lipstick. It's another matte shade and does add more colour to your lips than Pink Plaid mentioned above. The coverage of this lipstick is great and it lasts a long time on your lips. Please me certainly pleases!

MAC Saigon Summer

Hi Lovelies!

So it's my first post in June! How crazy! Next stop Christmas!

Luckily we've got summer before then though! Being a summer and sunshine person means that any lipstick with the word summer in it, is definitely going to be found in my lipstick collection. If you read one of my previous posts, you might have realised that I'm loving orange/coral tones at the moment so I thought I'd share with you my love for MAC Saigon Summer.

MAC Saigon Summer

It's a Cremesheen finish lipstick and is a beautiful orange shade which has a little bit of gold shimmer to it. If you were to look at it before you applied it, you may think that's a bright pop of orange, however once it's applied it tones down and goes on in a bit of an opaque and sheer way. Therefore it's not overly bold for an orange lipstick and leaves a lovely light burst of orange on your lips.

MAC Saigon Summer

As it's a Cremesheen, it's moisturising and I find that this shade lasts a longer time than other Cremesheen lipsticks I've tried. All in all, it's quite a winning orange shade!

I really recommend this shade if you're looking for an orange lipstick that won't resemble Cheetos or Orange Soda once applied. I definitely know that I'll be rocking this shade a lot this summer!

Have you got a favourite orange lipstick?

May snaps!

Hi Lovelies!

I cannot believe that it's the end of May! I'm getting quite concerned at how quickly life is actually going!

However May has actually been a pretty good month! I've been feeling a lot more 'it is what it is' and just fully making the most out of life.

So I think a photo round up is the best way to share it.

beach

1. Top Row Left: I visited the Caribbean. This beach is unreal! No filter would ever be needed on it!

2. Top Row Middle: This is of the beautiful blue waters in Mustique. Actually paradise!

3. Top Row Right: Basil's Bar in Mustique. A bar with most literally the best view ever!

4. Middle Row Left: Finding some unusual flavoured candles in the Yankee store. A carrot cake candle anyone?

5. Middle Row Middle: Stepping outside my MAC lipstick comfort zone and trying more of their products!

6. Middle Row Right: I've found the most perfect and unreal mascara. My lashes have found their true love with this Tom Ford mascara!!!!

7. Bottom Row Left: Impulse buying the creamy glow duo by Kevyn Aucoin. I can't wait to test it out!

8. Bottom Row Middle: Showing the clock tower in Palm Beach some love. This view will never grow old.

9. Bottom Row Right: I had to have a lot of painful procedures at the dentist so I was given some bright pink peonies to numb the pain. They definitely worked!

What have you been loving/doing this May?

A Lipstick a day!

Happy Thursday Lovelies!

Now even though I seem to collect lipsticks just like they're jelly beans, I often find myself sticking with wearing the same shades out of my collection because it's easy and well I just love a particular shade. However I am deciding that it's fully time to use all my shades, so I'm challenging myself to wearing a different shade every day.

Since doing this I've rediscovered my love of wearing more orange/coral tones once again.

These ones are:

MAC Morange

MAC Coral Bliss, MAC Morange and MAC Flamingo. Whilst Morange may be a bit too vibrant for every day loving, I had completely forgotten about how perfect Flamingo was! It's so beautiful and ideal for a Spring/Summer day.

Yesterday I wore MAC Sunny Seoul and today who knows which one I'll end up reaching for. It's rather like a funky Pick and Mix. So if you're after spicing up a little something in your life. Reach for a different lipstick, because they do say variety is the spice of life.

Have you got any favourite lipstick shades which I could try?

Post Holiday Favourites

Good Morning Lovelies and a Happy Monday!

I've recently returned from a lovely holiday in the Caribbean so I'm feeling all refreshed. However, my skin probably not so. I have the strangest tan, I'm quite patchy and a little sunburnt! I never usually get sunburnt so I think the new sunscreen I tried might not have been the best for me.

What I do know is that I want to preserve my little patchy tan for a little while, so I definitely need to infuse some moisture back into my skin.

For that post holiday healthy feel. These are 3 products which I'm loving.

MAC Strobe Cream

1. Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid: I've cracked this beauty out because it's just so perfect. It's lightweight, covers nicely, has a little colour to it and makes you look so healthy and glowy.

2. MAC Strobe Cream: I recommend if you get this product to buy it in the travel size, because it lasts for ages and a little blob goes a long way. It's very moisturising, you can use it under your foundation as a base, or you can dab it and use it as a highlighter. It delivers a beautiful glow and highlight which really lifts your face.

3. Dior Addict Lip Glow: You can't forget your lips. Lips get quite dry and cracked on hot holidays. This gem never fails. Your natural lip colour comes out and your lips are left the softest and most moisturised ever. Perfect for applying your favourite lipstick!

What are your favourite products post holiday?

And here's a little Caribbean snap just to start the week right!

January Photo Snaps!

Happy Friday Beauties!

I thought it was about time to do a photo post! I absolutely love photos and I've been up to a mixture of things lately so what better way to share them than in a post!

The Miami Beach Edition

1. Top Left: It was recently my birthday and as much as I dislike my age number increasing, I definitely like to enjoy the celebrations. I spent my birthday at The Miami Beach Edition hotel. It's such a stunning hotel and I can do a whole post on this if you like. I had a great stay and what better birthday view is there than blue skies, a beach and palm trees!

2. Top Right: Only in Miami would you have a hotel with a bowling alley and ice skating rink!!!! I decided to make use of the facilities and have a little birthday bowling session! I hadn't been for so long and forgot how attractive the shoes are! Yes I have to wear kid velcro ones as I have tiny feet! haha

3. Bottom Left: I recently got these Happy Notes from Anthropologie. They're notes which come in a rainbow of colours and I thought it would be such a great idea to give them out to people who make you happy. Quite often we don't appreciate those around us enough, so happy notes will change this for me. So if you would like a happy note, just let me know!

4. Bottom Right: Everything I'm buying lately is pink! I've become a bit obsessed and so here are three MAC lipsticks which I'm in love with. Lickable, Viva Glam by Miley and also Milan Mode. Isn't pink just the best!

Hope you've enjoyed this post and let me know what you've been up to lately?

MAC Milan Mode

Hello Beauties!

It's Friday! The best day that starts with an F!

This Friday it's time for a little sprinkle of  MAC! I'm in a bit of a pink mode since I've moved to the sunny state of Florida and what better way to release my inner pink than wearing a beautiful bright pink lipstick!

MAC Milan Mode

The lipstick I've been gracing my lips with is Milan Mode! This lipstick is a lustre finish which usually aren't my favourite but in this instance I feel that this gorgeous pink shade is extremely suited to this finish. It's a beautiful fuschia pink shade which has a lovely glitter shimmer to it. It's not glitterball overload though, once applied to your lips with about 3 swipes the glitter lifts the lipstick in a natural way and no hint of looking like you've caked your lips with glitter!

MAC Milan Mode

Milan Mode lasts quite a while on your lips and is great because it doesn't dry them out at all! I'm finding myself reaching for this gem a lot as it definitely delivers a bit of summer in winter.

If you feel like brightening things up, this is a really beautiful shade! I've also been eyeing up the bright pink shades from the NARS Audacious range so if you have any lipstick loves from this range, please let me know!

Do you have a favourite bright lipstick to brighten things up?

Pink Picks

Hello Beauties!

I hope you had a great Christmas! I certainly had a great festive time and really enjoyed spending it with such great company. Christmas time really does make you grateful for all the wonderful people around you.

However as Christmas has now passed, it's time to celebrate the last few days of 2014. It will soon be 2015 which I just can't quite get my head around, it seems like only yesterday that we were welcoming in the Millennium New Year! Crazy!

Whatever your plans are for New Years Eve or today, I have a little pink treat to perk you up because you can never beat pink right?

Here are my Pink picks!

Nails Inc VVB Nail Polish

I think sometimes you just need a little bit of pink in your life!

MAC Feed the Senses: I've actually done a post on this lipstick before but I just had to dig it out once more. It's a perfect lipstick for that natural but still there look. I love this colour and it matches the nails pretty well.

Nails Inc VVB by Victoria Beckham nail polish. This is in the shade Bamboo White. Whilst it isn't really a pink shade but more of a stone/beige white, I still feel that it can kind of get away with a pale pink combination. It looks perfect with the pink lips! The nail polish itself is amazing, you are left with such a beautiful finish with just 2 coats. It covers completely and leaves a beautiful gel kind of sheen. I love it so much that I'm definitely going to order the Judo Red shade. If you're debating getting this nail polish it really is worth it as it's incredible!

Dior Addict Lip Balm. I'm addicted to this balm. It brings out your natural lip colour, and guess what shade mine are? Yes pink! Need I say more!

Pink is obviously filling my life right now, what colours/products are you loving right now?

Blogmas day 24: 3 MAC Lipsticks

Happy Christmas Eve Beauties!

The big day is nearly upon us and I can't quite believe it. So in order to feel a little prepared I've picked three beautiful nude MAC lipsticks which could be potential contenders to wear on christmas day.
Obviously if it were possible to wear all three in one go and look good that would be amazing, but sadly I think I'm going to have to tear my heart and make a choice. So if you would all help me out and give me your thoughts that would be great, because I'm so indecisive when it comes to which lipstick to wear!

From left to right:

MAC Velvet Teddy

MAC Velvet Teddy: a natural brown nude with some pinkish undertones. Perfect natural lip and more!

MAC Blankety: The creamiest of nudes and a pinky beige kind of shade. Creamy nude perfection!

MAC Yash: a brown nude with peach undertones. Yash is a nude favourite in my lipstick stash!

Some decisions in life are pretty difficult, let me know which one you're backing?

I would just like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Christmas! I hope you have a lovely day celebrating and that Santa's made a little beauty visit too! Thank you for reading and I'm sending you big Christmas kisses!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Blogmas Day 13: Foundation Mixing

Morning Beauties!

Hope you have some great plans for the weekend! I'm sure it probably means finishing up your christmas shopping or if you're a last minute type of person like me, starting to attempt it!

I thought I'd make this post all about mixing! I'm one of those people who likes to buy lots of makeup, and then after a while I get bored of it. So instead of just using something new I've bought, I like to start mixing and this is exactly what I did the other day!

I'd been enjoying wearing my MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation, as it was giving such a lovely glow when I wore it but as lately I've been unwell my skin tone started turning a bit yellower and so I was literally glowing a stronger weird yellow colour whilst wearing this! I decided that I needed to use another foundation with a bit more coverage to take the yellow glow away! So I dug out an old YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation.

MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation

I absolutely love this foundation and I used to wear it everyday for such a long time a few years ago but I was still searching for a bit more of a glow than this foundation offered. So what did I do?

I MIXED and well I can tell you that this mixture is absolutely a little gem!

MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation + YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation

= such a beautiful healthy glow and actual coverage.

I urge you to give it a go if you're after this kind of finish. Even if it's just grabbing some samples of them and testing it out yourself. I felt pretty proud of myself for finding this little beauty and I think I'll be mixing for quite some time!

Now if MAC and YSL were to combine these it would be incredible!

Have you ever combined 2 products you love and found a new favourite?

MAC Oblivion lipstick from the Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection

Good Morning Lovelies!

Today to get into the true Halloween spirit, I thought I would share with you a special MAC lipstick to get you ready for the spooky season. The lipstick which does just that, is MAC Oblivion! This is their new lipstick from the Rocky Horror Picture Show collection. There are 3 other lipsticks in this range too, but they're selling like hotcakes.

MAC Oblivion Lipstick

I must admit I wasn't overly taken or excited on hearing the news of this release, but then I saw it in store, tested the lipsticks out, and then I was completely sold.

The packaging is really unique and eye catching itself! It has the lips on the front of the packaging which is definitely very fitting for a red lipstick!

Oblivion itself is a medium red lipstick described as being vivid with blue undertones. When swatched and worn it comes off a lot pinker on me than I thought it would. It appeared to be  a raspberry kind of shade, which I was a little bit surprised at as I wouldn't have guessed that the blue undertones would turn it out like this. As I completely love wearing these kind of pink tones, this shade is perfect for me.

Also as Oblivion is an Amplified Creme lipstick the finish is lovely, it's extremely moisturising and leaves lips looking soft and full and you get a little shine on the finish too. I found Oblivion to be very long lasting which is always a bonus for a lipstick wearer!

Overall I love this lipstick release, the shade is great for me, it's a red which can be worn without being too shocking. It's still relatively understated but you definitely know it's there! However the one thing I would say is that it's not particularly unique. There are probably a few lipsticks out there which would be perfect dupes. I'll just have to have a little lipstick shop, swatch and hunt for them.

Have you tried this lipstick or do you plan on trying any lipsticks from the Rocky Horror picture show collection?

MAC Feed the Senses Lipstick

Happy Little Friday!

Today I have a brand spanking new lipstick to share some hearts about! Because I'm a lipstick addict and a MAC lipstick addict, I'm being true to my obsession and showing you a MAC lipstick! It's in the shade Feed the Senses! And does its pink/nudeness feed my senses? Yes it sure does!

MAC Feed the Senses lipstick

Now this particular shade is from the Lustre range, which means it can be a little sheer once applied. It's a pretty pink toned lipstick with purple/mauve tones peeping through! Once applied it's a dream if you're after a gorgeous subtle nude. It's not overpowering and therefore is an incredibly subtle shade for everyday lipstick wearing! As it's a lustre I find that the staying power of the lipstick doesn't last so long, only about 2-3 hours. However that doesn't really put me off this shade, because it's so pretty and ticks all the other boxes which many nude lipsticks fail to deliver. It's been added to my line of favourite everyday lipsticks! (which gets longer and longer by the day!)

Have you tried this MAC shade before?

MAC Pervette

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you're having a great week so far. I feel like it's time for another lipstick to make an appearance.

So the lipstick pick of the day is MAC Pervette. This is a glaze finish lipstick and it's pretty unusual. It's a combination of pink and purple all added together with a sprinkle of shimmer.

It's not an overpowering lipstick by any means, but you can definitely see it's there. It feels light to wear and what I love is that once applied, the colour changes when it catches the light. It's pretty much 2 lipsticks in one!

As it's so easy to wear, I reckon it would suit all different skin tones. It's light and fresh and perfect if you're still clinging onto summer (like me!)

MAC Flamingo

Hello my beauties!

This week it's another MAC lipstick. I have too many in my lipstick stash that just can't wait to be shared with you!

The chosen lipstick shade of the day is a lustre finish named Flamingo. Now I think the name might be a bit of a giveaway in predicting the colour of this lipstick! But it is indeed a pink lipstick with more of a coral kind of tone to it. It's definitely a sweet type of lipstick but appears pretty natural when applied.

It's a lovely colour which I think I've generally overlooked. I honestly don't know why I hadn't tried Flamingo sooner. It's a great lipstick choice for this time of year, or would look lovely if if you're wearing white as the contrast would look great.

The only annoying thing, is that if your lips are a bit dry, it can collect slightly, but that's easily sorted with a little slathering of your favourite lip balm.

Overall I think Flamingo is a hidden gem in the lipstick world. Definitely dig it out if you get a chance!

Have you tried MAC Flamingo?

My Summer Hearts!

Good Day Beauties!

I thought I'd share with you some of my hearts and little loves of the past few weeks.

Top Left: Two mini Clinique chubby sticks. As a chubby stick lover, when I saw Glamour magazine was offering a travel sized chubby stick free in either Super Strawberry or Woppin Watermelon I knew I had to make a purchase. A great magazine and a lip product = heaven. In fact so heavenly that I couldn't miss the opportunity to own both! Oops

Top Right: I absolutely loved this MAC lipstick when I saw it! A lovely bright pink lipstick perfect for summer and with the name of Lickable it was hard to resist.

Bottom Left: keeping myself smelling floral and fresh this summer with the super handy and cute Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Rollerball. It smells absolutely divine. Mmm

Bottom Right: The White Company is one of those shops which I enter and I instantly want to own everything. Definitely a white white heaven. I've recently moved home so trying to find new things for my rooms is super exciting, I'll share what's inside in a later post but for now I'll let you guess the colour of the things inside!

Hope you've enjoyed my hearts!

What have you been loving lately?

MAC Lickable lipstick

Morning lovelies!

Now for me there is nothing more exciting than cracking open a new lipstick! And when it's summer and sunny outside, my lipstick excitement just explodes through the roof. With many shades becoming more acceptable to wear in the warmer months, I get carried away swatching all the bright pinks, purples and corals.

MAC Lickable lipstick is no exception to my bright lipstick obsession. Lickable is a bright pink but not an 'in your face' bright pink. This is probably because the blue/purple undertones calm it down, so it offers a beautiful fuchsia colour pink when applied onto your lips.

Anything fuchsia coloured I absolutely love, probably because it reminds me of when I was a child and I was obsessed with popping real fuchsia buds! Did anyone else do this or was I the only fuchsia popper?

Anyway if you're not drawn to lickable because of the colour, I'm sure you'll be drawn to its name! Quirky names are definitely part of the attraction!
Lickable is part of the Cremesheen range. Cremesheens literally save my lips! Always offering great colour and moisture at the same time!

Lickable is no exception to this, the burst of pink lasts a long time on your lips and feels so lovely and smooth. This colour is perfect when you have an understated makeup look but want to add that splash of colour. As I'm paler and have blonde hair, some bright lipsticks can really drain your complexion but Lickable does the opposite. It wakes up my natural makeup look and has me ready for whatever the summery day entails.

Have you tried Lickable? or do you have a perfect summer lipstick?

MAC Sweet & Sour

Hey beauties!

Today I have another MAC lipstick to wow you with! My collection just keeps on growing!
This Mondays lipstick choice is Sweet & Sour! I sound like I'm telling you about a chinese takeaway dish, but sorry I'm telling you about a gorgeous lipstick shade which MAC has brought back instead!

Sweet & Sour is a beautiful peachy orange coral shade, and it's a creamy Cremesheen finish! Winning combination!
It leaves a slightly glossy finish but as it's a Cremesheen it doesn't dry your lips out!
It's an absolutely dreamy shade! Creamy dreamy perfection for these summer days where you want a little colour but not too much!

It provides the right amount of colour to lighten up your face and I'm absolutely sold. I'm not actually sure how I survived without it!

Have you tried Sweet & Sour? Or got any MAC favourites for summer?

MAC Coral Bliss lipstick

Hello gorgeous beauties!

Now I know I've recently shown you a new addition to my lipstick collection! But I just have to share with you another, as I couldn't be a true lipstick lovers I didn't!

My beauty bargain today is a MAC Cremesheen lipstick! My favourite finish ever!

The shade I've got is so so perfect for spring/summer! I was after MAC's Fleur d'Coral but when I went to buy it, it had sold out! I was so sad, but everything happens for a reason! And I found out why!

I ended up in an outlet mall in St Augustine Florida as a break from an extremely long journey, and I ended up in 'the cosmetics company store' (heaven may I add!)

At outlet prices, I was extremely happy. I found MAC Coral Bliss lipstick, it's a soft coral pink shade, and when you apply it, it's quite subtle so you can keep adding if you want more coverage!

This shade is great for everyday and at an outlet price of $11.25 so like £6.80, it really was like I had landed in lipstick heaven! I am so happy with MAC Coral bliss, that my pink/coral smile is stretching from ear to ear!
