NYX HD Foundation
Hi Lovelies!
I hope you're having a fab Friday and that you have a great weekend lined up. I thought I'd share with you the foundation which I can't stop wearing.
It's the NYX HD Foundation. I have honesty never found a high street/drugstore foundation which I love so much. This foundation not only covers so well but it gives the nicest finish to your skin leaving you with a flawless and perfect dewy finish.
Here it is when it's first applied and in different lighting:
I've found that this NYX HD Foundation blends so well and stays put all day long. It's incredibly great value if you're after a really lightweight foundation that gives you a natural look. It's mineral enriched and buildable so you can achieve the perfect level of coverage for yourself.
And here it is at 5pm after a whole day of sightseeing and I didn't have a chance to refresh it!:
Have you got a favourite high street/drugstore foundation?

Happy Friday Beauties!
It has definitely seemed like a never ending week however it's finally Friday!
This week I've been in one of those makeup moods where my foundation just hasn't behaved like it usually does. I have no idea why this happens, but it always ends the same and yes that's with me buying more makeup. This week was has been no different, this time I headed back to Bobbi Brown and started to relive my Long-Wear Even Finish Compact foundation obsession from around 2010! I used to love this foundation compact, but as a normal makeup lover I got lured away by other brands and new releases, so this little Bobbi was put away.

However Bobbi is well and truly championing my makeup stash right now. I honestly forgot how much I loved this foundation. Some foundations have a habit of turning me a bit yellow, NARS especially I find runs a bit yellow. On the other hand some foundations if not yellow can turn a bit orange. I bought this foundation in warm beige and although it looks more orange in the compact, when it oxidises with the skin it blends so perfectly on my skin that it is such a perfect shade. No yellow, no orange just perfection.
The foundation itself offers a medium coverage without any cakeyness at all, it stays put for absolute hours and it's so natural that it doesn't feel like you have any makeup on.
I definitely think that this compact is a little hidden gem, it doesn't appear to be spoken about enough, if you're after a really natural and healthy looking finish then I urge that you test this out. I shall never forget about this Bobbi Brown gem again, it's staying out on the shelf right where I can see it!
Have you tried this foundation or rediscovered an old favourite?

Morning Beauties!
Hope you have some great plans for the weekend! I'm sure it probably means finishing up your christmas shopping or if you're a last minute type of person like me, starting to attempt it!
I thought I'd make this post all about mixing! I'm one of those people who likes to buy lots of makeup, and then after a while I get bored of it. So instead of just using something new I've bought, I like to start mixing and this is exactly what I did the other day!
I'd been enjoying wearing my MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation, as it was giving such a lovely glow when I wore it but as lately I've been unwell my skin tone started turning a bit yellower and so I was literally glowing a stronger weird yellow colour whilst wearing this! I decided that I needed to use another foundation with a bit more coverage to take the yellow glow away! So I dug out an old YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation.
I absolutely love this foundation and I used to wear it everyday for such a long time a few years ago but I was still searching for a bit more of a glow than this foundation offered. So what did I do?
I MIXED and well I can tell you that this mixture is absolutely a little gem!
MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation + YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation
= such a beautiful healthy glow and actual coverage.
I urge you to give it a go if you're after this kind of finish. Even if it's just grabbing some samples of them and testing it out yourself. I felt pretty proud of myself for finding this little beauty and I think I'll be mixing for quite some time!
Now if MAC and YSL were to combine these it would be incredible!
Have you ever combined 2 products you love and found a new favourite?
