Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee

Good Morning Lovelies!

I hope you're having a good week so far! I've had a bit of an eventful week and ended up breaking a finger on my writing hand but luckily I can still type! And obviously lipsticks are my medicine!

So today is a Creme Brulee day! It's a Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter lipstick. I love the formula of these lipsticks as they are so so buttery and moisturising! Creme Brulee is more of a beige coloured nude. So if you find some nude lipsticks a bit too pink, this is perfect. As it applies, the buttery texture means the colour applies lightly and in a sheer way, so you don't have to worry about looking like you've kissed your concealer! It gives a light colour and is so natural, so if you've never tried a nude lipstick before this would be a great starter. When on the lips, it doesn't have the longest staying power, probably because it is more of a moisturising lipstick, but overall it's an easy wearing and smooth nude lipstick.

Have you tried this shade or any of the other Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters?

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights

Hello Lovelies!

I've been doing a bit too much shopping lately! Oops! But that means another product to share with you!

Today's is a new lip stain find! It's the new Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in the shade Barcelona Nights. I usually don't opt for these berry looking tones but I felt like a change. I would say this is a berry pink colour with blue undertones. Definitely a lovely colour for summer days and nights!

The packaging is so gorgeous, I think that it looks incredibly sleek and classy in every single shade.

These lip stains are meant to provide your lips with a beautiful colour and also provide moisture due to the vitamin E and aloe in them.

The moisture is definitely a perk for me. This is how it looks:

Overall I absolutely love the colour, the berry tones seem to suit my skin tone well, and the colour is incredibly long lasting. It leaves a glossy and kind of wet type of look whilst leaving your lips feeling quite moisturised. What's great is that I found the product took to your lips quickly and didn't leave that sticky feeling that you can get from these type of lip products.
It's definitely a lip stain that I want to test out in other colours and I'm super happy that this little stain has joined my growing lip products!

Have you tried these Revlon lip stains?

True blue!

Happy blues are the best!
So I was going through my nail polish collection and I didn't quite realise how many blues I actually own! So here are 10 blue beauties!

From left to right
1. Splendid: Your fly's down
2. Barry M Gelly Hi-shine: Blueberry
3. Barry M Nail Paint: Cobalt Blue
4. Barry M Nail Paint: Indigo
5. Ciate: Glass Slipper
6. Ciate: Headliner
7. Rimmel 60 Seconds: Too cool to tango
8. Ciate: Power Dressing
9. Revlon: Blue Lagoon
10. No7 Stay Perfect: Stand Back

Beauty mission: find my favourite shade of blue!

As I'm so indecisive at choosing the right colour I've painted each nail a different colour. My indecisiveness is not helped by the fact that there are so many pretty tones of the same colour out there!

So here's my left hand
(L-R nail polishes 1-5)

And the right hand
(L-R 6-10)

I think considering they're all blue, they're all so individual, pretty and unique but I'm going to chose my 3 favourites! ( I can't just pick one, that would be too hard!)

My winners are:

2.Barry M Gelly Hi-shine: Blueberry
This has such a great smooth finish and is a really unusual shade of blue.
7. Rimmel 60 seconds: Too cool to tango
Super sleek finish, pretty pastel and dries in 60 seconds! Great for the inpatient!
3. Barry M Nail Paint: Cobalt Blue
Same smooth finish, no smudging, lovely cobalt blue, not so vibrant as some cobalt shades can be though!

And my poor performer is :

10. No 7 Stay perfect: Stand back
Not so perfect for me! It was so runny, literally like liquid overflowing my nail! In my opinion the colour is ok but just needs an injection of oomph to fit in more of a defined shade category!

Well I hope you enjoyed my blue nail round up, if you've got a favourite blue nail polish I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Outrageous Orange Obsession

Outrageous Orange Obsession

If only orange lipstick counted as 1 of your 5 fruit and veg a day, I would definitely be hitting my vitamin C requirements!

Sadly it doesn't but it still leaves you with fantastic bold lovable lips.

So I decided to put a few of these lipsticks to the test.

1. Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm
2. MAC Lipstick
3. No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick

1. First up was Revlon's Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Tease.
This one is following the chubby stick lip trend. It's super moisturising, super smooth and delivers a super shine. It goes on pretty easily and even has a minty tang.
It's a strong and bold colour, and the pigmentation is pretty strong. The colour is not my favourite orange shade but I love the actual colorburst product and the finish from it.

2. Mac Lipstick in Morange

From the usual MAC lipstick packaging, this is an amplified crème lipstick. This lipstick goes on really well, it's dreamy creamy! The colour is definitely one that will stand out. It's vivid, bold and fierce. I think it would suit any skin tones and all topped off with a lovely vanilla taste. One little tip is that it's not so moisturising as other lip products out there, so I prefer putting on a little Vaseline before applying this lipstick. Mmm morange!

3. No 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Gay Geranium

You start by swivelling up the lipstick and then there's a coral-orange explosion when the lipstick pops up. This colour is vibrant and a bit more pinky than the others. It's from their long lasting range.  It certainly lasts but I was a bit disappointed at how dry it made my lips. I found it quite hard to put on as it dried them out straight away. I also found it a little bit hard to apply due to the shape of it, unfortunately this resulted in a little lipstick on the teeth problem. Its durability is good though and who could resist a name like this!

Overall I would definitely say MAC would win the orange lips if you're going all out, the colour is beautiful but for a more subtle tone and daytime orange look Revlon's colorburst definitely ticks the box.

And if all else fails and orange is a no go, you can still use them in place of crayons!
