$20 Makeup Look

Happy Sunday Beauties!

Today I wanted to set myself a challenge, and this was to create a makeup look using a budget of just $20. I headed off to see how much makeup I could get to achieve this. I found quite a few beauty bargains along the way.

After I returned, the makeup fun begun! I decided on an everyday look and I was actually impressed by the quality of my products. So here's the result:

Here's a list of the products which I used:

Foundation: Loreal True Match Foundation $7.99

Concealer: Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer $4.09

Eyeshadow: e.l.f custom eyeshadow in Pink Ice $0.99 +  e.l.f custom eyeshadow in Wheat $0.99

Bronzer : E.L.F Contouring Blush and Bronzing Duo $2.99

Lips: Wet n wild lipstick in Just Peachy $0.99

Mascara: I had bought an e.l.f mascara for $0.99 but blonde me, already lost it before I got home! So I just used a freebie mascara I had lying around!

So the grand total for everything was $19.03!

Overall I am so impressed with the look and the quality of the products. L'oreal true match foundation provides such a great base, the e.l.f contouring duo is so useful as I also used some of the bronzer on my eyelids. The wet n wild lipstick for only $0.99 was such a great find, I love the peachy colour, the creaminess and it appeared to plump my lips!

It just goes to show that sometimes the drugstore products can create great makeup looks at a fraction of the price.

Have you got any drugstore favourites?

  1. Can I just say: major props to you for putting on a $20 face! There is no way I can do that - mostly because finding drugstore foundation is just not possible for my skin colour.

As far as drugstore favourites that I have, probably would be some generic almond oil and castor oil that I could pick up for a DIY oil cleanser. Or maybe Nuxe Reve de Miel!

    1. Ah that's so annoying, you would think in this day and age they would cater for every skin! Really recommend the lipstick though! I've never used almond oil, I must give that a try! x
